Production Supervisor

Position: Management
The Production Supervisor directs the workflow of the Spokane manufacturing team to ensure that assembly processes are completed timely and with the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate for this position will possess a thorough knowledge of manufacturing best practices along with strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively to diverse audiences and stakeholders. The Production Supervisor must be prepared to adapt to the changing needs of a fast-paced manufacturing environment while coaching his/her team to success. The Production Supervisor position is expected to represent the company with the highest standards of professionalism and integrity at all times.
Compensation for the Production Supervisor
• $52,250.00 – $78,375.00 Per Year

Responsibilities for the Production Supervisor
• Assign team tasks and lead daily production efforts to meet manufacturing deliverables; assist with assembly and manufacturing tasks when necessary to meet schedules
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company products and assembly protocol; provide ongoing training and communication to team members
• Establish goals for the team and work to continually improve production metrics related to quality and throughput
• Set a tone for work quality and accountability within the team; understand quality issues affecting final product testing and respond appropriately to improve quality metrics
• Cross-train team members in various assembly and manufacturing processes to increase job satisfaction and promote depth of talent
• Work with Manufacturing Engineering staff to develop and define assembly procedures and the associated training for those procedures; provide assembly procedural training to employees as needed
• Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with colleagues; work cross-functionally as needed to resolve issues and achieve mutual goals
• Lead 5S efforts and set the vision and example for all team members to follow
• Work with production scheduler to control materials usage, maintain inventory accuracy and ensure schedule conformance
• Analyze data and prepare reports as needed in the course of work
• Adhere to safety standards at all times while enforcing safe work habits with all team members; this includes all OSHA regulations and facility safety guidelines
• Assist in performance management activities including preparation of performance evaluations, recognition efforts for strong performing team members, and assistance with disciplinary matters as necessary by partnering with supervisor and HR
• Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements for the Production Supervisor
• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred
• Manufacturing industry experience; preferably within a technology product manufacturing facility
• Previous supervisory experience highly preferred
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team atmosphere
• Superior interpersonal skills and communication abilities
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Demonstrated proficiency with project management and team leadership

• Visual inspection for broken glass or disruptions within pack and loading vials through rinser, changeover of equipment

Responsibilities for the Quality Assurance Manager

• Provide laboratory expertise and performance necessary to analyze and control finished products within their specifications for microbiological, chemical, physical, and organoleptic requirements
• Maintain and control sample inventory of products (juice) in cold room for shelf life determination, and shipment to customers as required under license or co-pack agreement or as requested, and to assure (quality) Auditor/SQF standards and GMP’s
• Provide laboratory reports to customers as required by license agreement or as requested
• Prepare and ship samples accordingly
• Maintain laboratory records for all production items through their shelf life and/or as required by federal or state regulation (21 CFR Part 110 Current Good Manufacturing Practices). SQF to assure quality
• HACCP documentation including HTST pasteurization charts, master sanitation schedule, plant sanitation, and CIP procedures. Maintains charts on file (21 CFR Part 110 current Good Manufacturing Practices)
• Program leader of GMP, plant sanitation and SQF self-audits conducted on appropriate and periodic intervals
• Maintain pest control program and interact with outside contractor for pest control system
• Special assignments upon request of Vice President, Operations
• HACCP program leader, point person, reviewer of documents
• Set up the running of flavor test panels, report findings
• Product formula sheets preparation
• Audit preparation of documentation for all customers and outside source audits, act as audit guide during audits
Requirements for the Quality Assurance Manager
• Bachelor’s degree in food science or related field and 7 to 10 years of related quality control and/or experience in the laboratory
• Basic PC knowledge and experience with work processing and spreadsheet software
• Knowledge of government regulations pertaining to food processing, packaging, and labeling preferred
• Technical knowledge of the packages and products manufactured
• Able to understand and maintain the basic element of Quality Assurance and Food Safety (SQF), i.e., adherence to specifications, compliance with food laws and regulations, food sanitation, insect and pest control, and food safety programs such as HACCP

• Oversees day to day communications with key customers and co-packers
• Communicate long term production forecast, pending product changes, upcoming product launches and other developing situations at daily production meetings
• Ensure feedback to Production Management on changes made during the day
• SQF document management for Approved Supplier List
• Support Safe Quality Foods (SQF) requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Provide backup to other positions in the Logistics Department
Requirements for the Logistics Manager
• Degree preferred with 7 – 10 years related experience, including manufacturing planning, production, and inventory control

• Swing shift: Monday through Thursday, 4:30pm – 2am with mandatory overtime to be hired

• Catch and stack printed circuit boards coming off the end of the line once a product has been printed/screened

• Place the printed circuit boards in the proper place after each process
• You will be trained on the proper handling of circuit boards so as not to damage them
• Maintain a clean, safe, and unobstructed work area
• Other duties as assigned
