Quality Engineer

Our client in Coeur d’Alene, ID, a leader in advanced composite manufacturing for aerospace and defense, is seeking a Quality Engineer to plan, coordinate, and direct quality assurance and quality control programs to ensure products meet established standards. Compensation for the Quality Engineer

• $70,000 - $90,000 Annually DOE

Responsibilities for the Quality Engineer

• Support and maintain Quality Department operations, including leadership in the absence of the Quality Manager
• Develop and maintain quality objectives aligned with company goals
• Establish standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation
• Conduct quality engineering reviews of design documentation and vendor materials
• Apply statistical process control (SPC) methods to analyze and improve processes
• Review quality data to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
• Oversee inspection and testing activities to maintain product quality
• Investigate and resolve customer quality concerns
• Communicate quality issues and improvements to leadership
• Design and deliver quality training programs
• Ensure compliance with industry and regulatory quality standards
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Kaizen, RCCA, Value Stream Analysis)

Requirements for the Quality Engineer

• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive quality experience
• Strong knowledge of quality systems, SPC, and root cause analysis
• Experience in manufacturing environments required
• Background in aerospace, aviation, defense, or government contracting is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Experience with tooling design, tooling design reviews, and tooling supplier management are preferred
