Our client is a leading western states heavy civil general contractor that specializes in asphalt paving, concrete, grading, excavation/site work. They are looking to hire an individual who is motivated to grow and take advantage of the advancement opportunities that this company has to offer. They provide all the perks of a large company but have the balance of a small intimate team-oriented atmosphere where the President knows all of their 200 employees by name. The organization has an excellent reputation, a very strong backlog of work in the future, and the additional staff to help support the administrative needs of their Project Managers. This is a bid/build position that slows down in the winter/offseason which allows for the needed time to accurately estimate the projects for the coming year
Responsibilities of the Project Manager- Estimator:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager/Estimator with self-performing heavy construction experience. The position reports to the Operations Manager/Chief Estimator. The ideal candidate will be experienced with site development, excavating, grading and paving with the ability to manage a project portfolio of $15M-$20M. Advancement opportunities and relocation to other offices within the division are available for super stars.
Compensation for the Project Manager – Estimator:
Base salary plus incentive bonuses. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance that starts the 1st day of the month after the first 30 days of employment.
Requirements of the Project Manager – Estimator:
• BS Construction Management or Civil engineering degree preferred.
• 5 plus years Project Management experience directly leading
self-performing heavy civil projects.
• 2 plus years estimating experience – company uses HCSS/Heavy Bid.
• Must provide and maintain proper licensure, medical card and acceptable driving record.
• Available to travel to and from local sites with use of a company vehicle.
• Ability to communicate effectively and treat subordinates with respect.
