Responsibilities of the Journeyman Electrician:
You will have lots of variety because each modular building is different and because the installation work is done from the “inside out”, the work is easier and less physically demanding. You will install electronic equipment such as control panels, switchboards, junction boxes, and switches. All the work is done inside the manufacturing facility, then assembled onsite. Will plan the layout and installation of electrical wiring equipment and fixtures according to each project. Will test as well. Must understand all related electrical codes and will be trained on modular building practices. You will work independently and may provide direction to an apprentice or to less experienced electricians and cross train in other areas within the Mechanical Crew.
Compensation for the Journeyman Electrician:
Starting wage is $38 to $40 per hour

Requirements of the Journeyman Electrician
• Must hold and maintain State of Oregon General Journeyman or Supervisor electrical license.
• Must be able to accurately read measuring and electrical testing devices
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent math skills.
• Proficient in the operation and use of equipment, fabrication of components and materials used
by the electrical crew.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings a plus.
